In 326 AD, a lone, stately woman embarks on the first pilgrimage ever made to the Holy Land. She is Helena, mother to Constantine the Great, Emperor of Rome and she is making this difficult journey to atone for his great sin. She is fulfilling a solemn promise to find the holy places touched by the life of Jesus and there build churches to honor Him. Follow Helena's struggles to find the humble place of Jesus' birth, the tomb of Lazarus, the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, the Holy Sepulchre and Golgotha, the site of Jesus' death. Her example of humility, faith and sacrifice made the Holy Land into a place of pilgrimage for centuries to come. Join her on this first jouney to retrace the footsteps of Jesus. Narrated by Ben Kingsley Bonus Program: King of Kings: a musical celebration of the life and land of Jesus.
