"This intriguing classic movie, brought to you on DVD by A2ZCDS, has you totally engrossed and involved for the better part of the narrative. The plot is rather unconventional for its time, with the bewitching Jan Wiley playing a seductive club dancer whose fortunes change dramatically when she is arrested and jailed at the instance of her agent. Jan’s charm and acting capabilities have been put to good use by director Donald Brodie, who is better known for his acting skills in the various roles he played in a distinguished career spanning over 200 movies. Janet Scot’s portrayal of bubbly and doting Aunt Sarah is delightful and livens up a tense drama, while the hulking Eddie Dunn plays the perfect villain, providing the audience with a few heart-stopping moments of outrageous treachery. A lively musical score and the fabulous sense of continuity crafted by screenwriter Elizabeth Hayter ensure delightful viewing. With this DVD, A2ZCDS brings you a fabulously entertaining feature film that amuses, puzzles and delights you with a plot that is impossible to anticipate."
"A wonderfully spun yarn that can teach contemporary movies a thing or two about sheer pizzazz. ‘Desirable Lady’ had me relating to almost all characters at some point or the other. Jan Wiley’s slinky exotic dancing is seductiveness at its best – sophisticated, and zero on sleaze. Hats off, A2ZCDS - I won’t forget this one in a hurry…”

"Desirable Lady’ is a total movie-watching experience. You warm to Jan Wiley’s character immediately and will root for her throughout. I found it a courageous film for the period, and one that addresses issues of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ that are relevant even today. This classic old movie will never grow stale.”
