"Director Jack Pollexfen could not have picked a better man to play the horrifying role of the indestructible man than the gifted Lon Chaney Jr., who probably gave his best performance ever in this fascinating horror movie from the last century. The role seems to have been tailor-made for Chaney, whose imposing physique, expressive eyes and communicative facial expressions create a horrifying combination. Based on thorough scientific research, the plot - though futuristic - does not seem to be far-fetched, and is thrilling and spooky at the same time! Although Chaney’s character holds center stage for the better part of the movie, the narrative is held together by some commendable performances from the rest of the cast. Max Showalter and Ross Elliot play excellent supporting roles, while the enchanting Marian Carr charms with her great looks and a fine performance. Don’t miss this classic horror drama, which is certain to leave you wide-eyed with its amazing plot! "
''Despite the strong Frankensteinian theme, Lon Chaney Jr. puts a distinct stamp of individuality on this classic movie (‘The Indestructible Man’). The mayhem is chilling, all the more realistic for Pollexfen’s masterful direction. Chaney and Karloff were in a class distinctly their own, and none of the present crop of schlockmeisters come close to them.''

"A great vintage creepfest. If this one is ever made again, only Stephen King can do justice to the script and direction. Lon Chaney Jr. carved himself a niche that he took to the grave with him. This is old-fashioned horror at its very best. A2ZCDS is to be lauded for reissuing this timeless classic.
