Where do you suppose the oldest plantings of Shiraz and Marsanne, two grapes from France’s Rhone Valley, can be found? If you said Australia, you’re right, and if you said at Chateau Tahbilk in the Nagambie Lakes region outside of Melbourne, well, then you should be hosting this show. Chateau Tahbilk is loaded with history and awesome wine and we’ll sample both. Its neighbor, McPherson, is part of the new wave of Australian wine hitting our shores, chocked full of fruit and loaded with charm. Finally, there’s Owen’s Estate, the home of long-time Australian winemaking guru Geoff Merrill. The only thing bigger than Geoff’s mustache, is his reserve Shiraz.
