Travel pro Laura McKenzie visits Vietnam, a destination 'that's just beginning to take off.'
Vietnam is an incredible place for visitors. It has history. It has cultural excursions like cruising the Mekong Delta to visit a floating market. It has Ho Chi Mihn City with great shopping and five star hotels. The food is some of the best in Asia and everything is incredibly cheap! it's amazing. Laura first explores the city by Cyclo, a unique bicycle/rickshaw combination. Then, it's off to a clothing store to be fitted for a traditional Vietnamese dress, the ao dai.
From there, our travel whiz walks to China town for some shopping where she practices the secrets of bargaining. Next stop, Medicine Street, a local shopping area for wellness needs.
Laura journeys to the Unification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral, and then watches a performance of the Vietnamese Fork Water Puppet show. After that, Laura enjoys some Vietnamese cuisine, namely prawns, elephant ear fish, local spring rolls and rice to restore her energy.
The excursion concludes with a relaxing cruise in a very magical and tropical delta.
