As seen on PBS
Parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast were devastated or destroyed by Hurricanes Ivan (2004) and Katrina (2005). Because it's such a lovely area and because many people are choosing it for their retirement living, The Seasoned Traveler visited three of the five Gulf States to see what makes them so special, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. George decided to visit the region because of its charming communities and because many people have decided to settle down here in retirement. This post-Katrina tour of the Gulf Coast takes viewers first to Florida, where the itinerary includes St. George Island and Seaside. In Alabama, stops include Fairhope and Mobile. In Mississippi, stops include Biloxi and Pass Christian.
