We see a Fijian village up close and wonder through Levuka, the old capital of Fiji famous for its charming architecture and loose living. Catherine talks to a woman in a tiny settlement with very few amenities who keeps the family alive by making baskets. She discusses the Fijian custom of kerekere with a pig farmer. How do Fijians survive? Barrow boys, pineapple carvers, bure builders and taxi drivers all have a place in the economy. We talk to Indo Fijians who rarely get noticed and are never featured on tourist brochures.
